Theology
We believe that Yahweh (God) is the creator of everything and that He is actively at work in the earth. We believe that He desires no one to perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We believe that He loves us so much that He sent His Son to die in our place (John 3:16).
We believe that Yahshua (Jesus) is the Son of Yahweh and as such is deity (Colossians 2:9). We believe that He was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:23), walked the earth as a man, and died on the cross as the final sacrifice for our sins. We believe that He rose from the dead on the third day, was seen by many and ascended to the Father’s side, where He rules and reigns with Him. We believe that He is coming again to establish His kingdom forever (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
We believe that the Bible is the Word of Yahweh and as such has no contradictions and tells a complete story. We believe that the answers to life’s questions and problems can be found in it (2 Timothy 3:19-17).
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and in the active participation of the Holy Spirit in our lives (Acts 11:15-17). We believe that the Holy Spirit brings conviction of sin (John 16:8, 12-15), as well as guidance to our lives on a daily basis. We believe in the full functioning of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and in producing the fruit (results) of the Holy Spirit in our lives, including our healing by His stripes (Isaiah 53:5).
We believe that the Ten Commandments are Yahweh’s moral law written by His own hand and was reiterated when Yahshua walked the earth (Matthew 19:18, Matthew 22:36-39).
We believe in salvation, not by works, but by faith through grace in the atoning sacrifice of Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah on the cross (Ephesians 2:8-10). We believe that the salvation results in surrendering our lives to the Leadership of Yahshua.
Lifestyle
We believe that in order to fulfill the love of Yahshua, we must be as He is - a servant to all (Matthew 20:26-28). Servanthood is the highest calling in Yahweh. It is a product of humility. If you cannot serve, then you cannot lead well. Servanthood is setting aside your own agenda and will to meet the needs of others.
We believe that all Christians should be authentic in their relationships with Yahweh (Matthew 6:1). To be authentic is to be the same person at home that you are at church. Authenticity is the result of having pure motives.
We believe that every Christian should be accountable to biblical standards. Beyond that, we believe that every believer should be accountable to each other (Galatians 6:1-2).
We believe that lost people matter to Yahweh and therefore should matter to us (Luke 19:10). We believe in building relationships with lost and seeking people so that they can see what the love of Yahshua really looks like.
We believe that spiritual growth is dependent upon our having a love for the Truth. It is the Truth that sets us free and helps us to avoid the trap of compromise (2 Peter 3:17-18).
We believe that the walk of faith is a process and as such we are open to change as we receive new insight into the Scripture and being led by the Holy Spirit.
