Get Back Up!
This past Sabbath we heard from Brother Caleb on his word for this year; Dry Bones Rise: Get Back Up!
Ezekiel 37:1-16 finds the prophet Ezekiel standing in a valley of very dry bones. Like those bones, many believers often become comfortable settling in the dust. It’s much easier to stay in place after being knocked down so many times. For many people, getting back up is a daily struggle. Often, we may feel like those bones, dry. Our spirits also can dry out to the point where we feel like we're lost or have nothing left to give.
There is good news! Yeshua is our oasis in the desert (John 4:13-14). He is our living water and the reason why we are able to get back up.
It is common to feel like getting knocked down is failure on our part, but that also is not true. Not succeeding does not equal failure. Every time we fall down is an opportunity to learn why it happened. Take what you learn to grow stronger and get back up!
We are given the tools necessary to rising from the ashes, both physical and spiritual. There are many examples of this in the Bible, but one of the more common ones is in the story of Moses. He used his staff multiple times when pleading to Pharaoh and in parting the Red Sea. The Holy Spirit also equips us with the gifts and tools we need.
Despite all of those amazing things, getting back up is still a choice. You have to want to rise up from the challenges in life. You have to want to continue along the path that Yahweh has for you. If nothing else, take courage from Yeshua. The enemy put Him on the cross and in the grave, but death did not hold Him. After three days, our Savior got back up! All you have to do is get up one more time than you're knocked down and you have the victory! If Yahweh can raise a valley of very dry bones and turn them into an army, then He surely can help you get back up too.
